Someone suggested I watch this movie and it did not disappoint. Manny is a fearless animal person but also may not always have the best interests of the animals in mind. Regardless this movie is worth watching. I found it on Netflix streaming.

We were so excited to hear about this research happening in the labs! My biggest concern about being in the sun is if I am using sunscreen that REALLY is ok for the coral reef and ocean organisms. I think this pill will take care of those feelings! YAHOOOOOO!

Good excuse to consume more sugar

Sweet news for the environment and sugarcane farmers, the tasty grass has been found to cool the surrounding air by over one and a half degrees Fahrenheit, compared to other crops or pasture forage.
What makes sugarcane so cool? It reflects more sunlight and exhales more moisture than other crops, like corn and soybeans, said a study published in Nature Climate Change.
“It’s a potential win-win for the climate. Using sugarcane to power vehicles reduces carbon emissions, while growing it lowers the local air temperature,” said ecologist Scott Loarie of the Carnegie Institution and one of the authors of the study in a press release from the Institution.

There are also other safety tips that are crucially important. Please watch the following video for a sobering look at the importance of the freediving buddy system (or even having someone alert when practicing holding your breath in a pool or bathtub).
