Customer feedback of the day

Hi Cindy,
We just got back from a week diving in Roatan. We had a couple stormy/windy days towards the end of the week and the surf-fur was broken out after the first dive on Thursday morning. The coats received a lot of comments and questions from our dive group. Expect some new orders from Colorado. :) Attached is an ‘action’ photo of Jane in her parka at speed on the dive boat.
Neatest comment I got on mine; In one of our on-land stops during a surface interval; I was wearing a full, mostly black wetsuit with black boots, with the parka on but unbuttoned and was walking though the area were one of the guys from one of the other boats called out – “Nice Darth Vader cloak!” :)

The parkas are everything you’ve claimed of them and will be a standard part of our dive gear in the future.

We recently had a very interesting customer testimonial that had feedback in it that we have never heard before. It went like this….

“I really like the snap features on the Surf-fur water parka. I pictured myself accidentally falling off the boat with your average dive parka on…one with zippers…and it would be pretty hard to take that coat off under water. I would drown. The Surf-fur snaps will just need a good yank and all snaps pop open.”

He continued to purchase one for all of his kids and his wife. Thanks for that interesting new insight on snaps!

“My name is Brad Latimer, I crewed on the M/Y Steve Irwin last year. We got sent a few boxes of Surf-furs from somewhere, when we got the box it had no return address….Anyways, I would just like to thank you for the gift as they kept us warm all through winter and when we went to Antarctica they were super for going out on deck.

I left the Steve Irwin in Hobart last September and went to Mauritius and picked up the ship Bob Barker there. We took it down to Antarctica to stop the Japanese whaling fleet. We had the most successful campaign ever this year so I was stoked to be a part of that.
But, I also took my Surf-fur with me and all the Bob Barker crew were jealous. It takes at least 15 min to put a mustang suit on and the action could be over before then….”

Thanks again,

Brad Latimer

The first one is at Kerguelen Islands while we were hiding out from a storm.

The second is well down in the Southern Ocean right up the backside of the Nisshin Maru where we stopped them from whaling for weeks.

Slingshot Kiteboard Team is falling in love… with their surf-furs! They found us in Kiteboard Magazine and figured it would be a cool product to try out. Ed Hansen wore it to the beach two weeks ago and the whole team was stoked to get one of their own!

“It is hands down the best product. We put our embroidered patches on the coat and it looks great.  The kiteboard team is falling in love with them. You guys made a really cool product!”said Ed Hansen of Slingshot Kiteboarders. “They wore it up North all Winter in the wind and rain. It held up to all the elements. Thanks for your support!
